Fruits Overloaded

This is what happen to me when I was at the night market last Tuesday. I passed by a fruit stall and ended up buying too much fruits and we can't even finish after few days. So you see how greedy am I when everything is cheap I just buy without thinking that it is actually too much at home. After few days, I took all the fruits out and started to cut it and packed into the bento boxes and let the kids eat it.

So do you agree with me that, we spend more money at the night market as compared to the supermarket or hypermarket?

Fun With Bento

I have been bentoing quite frequent lately. I really got no heart to know much more about the management arrangement in the office. I am still pissed off with the empty promises given to me. But I am still very positive with my ability and experiences that I can get a better one outside. I only trust myself now.

To forget about what has been happening around me lately, I started to prepare bento again. It is quite fun to prepare all these bento for Dearie Suki and the kids. No matter what happen in life or career, the family always come first in my heart. Who the hell I care about work when I have 2 lovely kids and a caring hubby to cheer me up back at home.

Here are some of the bento I prepare for them at home. The kids are happy with it but Dearie Suki think it is a bit girly to eat from the bento set. Hahaha....

For Dearie Suki.. Chicken Rice, Roast Chicken, Chicken Murtabak

For me... Turkey Ham & Cheese Sandwiches, Cherry Tomato, Honey Dew

For the kids... Char Siew Pau, Bunny Hard Boiled Egg, Cherry Tomato

For the kids... Tigger Turkey Ham Sandwich, More Turkey Ham Strips, Reese Peanut Buttercup, Banana

Bento #10 : Hainanese Chicken Rice

This is one of my lunch Bento I brought to work few weeks back. Have not been making any Bento recently reason being I am busy and hardly cook during dinner. Even if I cook it will just nice for me and Dearie Suki.

My Hainanese Chicken Rice Bento with a tub of Yoghurt for lunch. Front bento is the steamed Hainanese Chicken with Oyster Sauce and some ginger. Then on the right is the buttered garlic rice and I sprinkle some black sesame on top. Top left some salad and chinese parsley to go along with the chicken rice. Wow.... this lunch is real huge for me and it is compatible to a plate of Chicken Rice sold at the Kopitiam !

My Bento Boxes all set to go into the Bento Bag and all of these Bentos come in a complete set plus a matching Bento Strap. Also not forgetting to pack in the yoghurt for lunch. A wonderful lunch in the office with a wonderful Bento.

Bento #9: Lip Pun "Fry" Rice And Tau Eww Bak

I was at 100 yen shop again and looking around hoping I can find something new there. But not much thing and I bought a packet of Japanese Fried Rice Seasoning at RM4.90 per pack. Look at the packet and I can't even read what they write and there is no 'Eengelish' translation. Makes me blur, blur flipping through front and back.

My Aunty Ah Choo gave me some Braised Soya Pork and Egg for dinner. Dearie Suki don't like her cooking so much and end up I got so much of it. What a waste to throw away and further more I love 'Tau Eww Bak' so much and some more with the fats, I more like it. Yummy!

Packed into a bento box to bring to office for lunch and fried some fried rice using the Spicy Japanese Fried Rice Seasoning (actually for me it is not spicy at all, kena con again). To make my lunch bento much more interesting, punched some butterflies nori sheet using the butterfly design puncher and spread it around the fried rice and braised pork and egg.

Interesting isn't it? I think I am a bit childish nowadays. Sometimes I got to hide my bento at my cubicle work station so that no one sees my bento. If not my 'Ah Neh' colleagues sitting in front of me thinking why me, this 'Aunty' too much job in the office izzit and getting a bit kuku. LOL

Bento #8 : Nasi Lemak Anyone?

The Nasi Lemak Bento. Anyone want this? Hihihi... packed this for lunch on Tuesday but end up didn't eat. Why didn't eat ah? Please don't misunderstood that I get bored with it and wanted to throw away.

Tuesday, having a brand review meeting with the BIG BOSS, supposed to start at 10.30 am but end up delayed to 11.30 am. By the time finished it is already 1.30pm and BIG BOSS ask me to go out for lunch with him. OK, la since he want to buy lunch so follow him out.

Wednesday, my ex-colleagues called me up to have lunch nearby my office, emm... I was thinking whether to go or not. Finally make up my mind go cos want to '8' la. The bento already 2 days kept in the fridge at the pantry, and I was wondering still can eat or not.

Thursday, Dearie Suki called me up ask me to go out for lunch with him cos he is having an appoinment later at Sunway Pyramid. Aiyor... 'lau ang' called up for lunch... MUST GO.

End up this Bento Set, took back home and opened up. Look see, look see, smell a bit, better not to eat, afterwards stomachache, worst still. Really susah, when didn't bring lunch, no body ask for lunch, when bring lunch to work, so many people ask for lunch. How, leh. What a waste again.

Packed the Nasi Lemak in this cute Hello Kitty Bento and also packed some cut persimmons fruit and a banana in the other bento box.

Bento #7 : Roti 'Keap' & Ham

Prepare the Roti 'Keap' and fried some ham for the kids and Dearie Suki for breakfast during our journey to Raub, Pahang. Spread the bread with kaya jam and butter and this are for Le-Ann and Ee-Thern. Dearie Suki loves ham. That early morning fried two pieces of ham and cut it into small pieces. Roll it up and secure it with a cute animal toothpicks.

Tardaa.... when I opened up the bento box in the car, my Dearie Suki look at it and show me funny face and start asking where I get such a cute animal toothpicks. Off course I kept quiet and don't even dare to tell him I actually ordered online.

It is so cute isn't it.

Bento #6 : Sweet Tulip Flower

Another set of my Bento lunch to office last Thursday. Remember the Crispy Cereal Fish I cook, this are some left over, I packed it to work rather than keep in the fridge.

Look at the sweet tulip flower. I used tulip cookies cutter mould for the shape and sprinkle the cereal on the rice. At the back bento box is the Crispy Cereal Fish Fillets and some fried Sambal Belachan Kangkung.

Again my Dearie Suki was teasing me ' CHIAK PAH SIU ENG ' ( got no other better things to do ) ! Yes, yes , yes, he is right. LOL !

Bento #5 : Leftover Foods

Dearie Suki didn't come back for dinner 2 days ago. Left so many food and I 'ta pau' to work again. Aik... got so bored with it. At night eat the same food, lunch also eat the same thing again. Really want to throw it away when come to lunch time. But hor... can save a lot of money leh if I didn't go out for lunch. hihihi..... must be frugal a bit.

The front bento box, is fried kembong fish with sambal and onion rings. The back bento, is the fried long beans with egg and stir-fried spinach with anchovies. I use a pink colour grass divider to divide the vegetables.

On the left I packed some grapes and a packet of 'Heong Peang' I bought from Kampar. This is for tea-time.

This Bento Box is so cute. It is so called the 'Clickety Click' .... err its the monkey character I think. Then the English text on the bento box so damn funny leh. With all the "POWDERFUL" English makes me want to laugh if I read the sentence again. Wah ! The Japanese English so damn 'POWDERFUL' !

Bento #4 : Chiffon Cafe For Breakfast

This morning packed 2 pieces of Chiffon Cake I bought from Giant yesterday. Only RM3.99 for a whole chiffon cake, very cheap. Bought 2 - Pandan Chiffon Cake for us at home and Orange Chiffon Cake for baby sitter.

So today breakfast in a bento box is 2 pieces of Pandan Chiffon Cakes and some grapes. Not packing any lunch to work today cos in the afternoon will be on duty at Mid Valley for My Family Showcase Fair. Thank god, a least a breather for me to get out from the office. Can't wait to go there and have fun with my colleagues. Will come back with more pictures at the fair.

Bento #3 : Green Momster Vegetables Curry

Still left lots of the Vegetables Curry and I packed it for lunch in the office. While packing my bento, Dearie Suki asked me why am I being so childish using his 'Pao Pei Le-Ann' Bento Set. Am I that childish? But whatever he like to say, say la. I am not going to bother.

Suddenly something come across my mind and I told him... "Pokai (go burst) already after come back from the trip, so no money to eat lunch" LOL . Hopefully he can get my message that I need more pocket money this month.

Coming back to my lunch bento today, still left a bit of the 'lap cheong' and crispy salted fish so I 'ta pau' along into the bento box and arrange it in a shape of ..... ( don't know what to name it ) so I named it the Green Momster. hihihi.... At the other bento box is the vegetables curry. Dearie Suki bought 3kg of Duku Langsat from the night market for RM10. Since there are so many at home, I packed along a small container of duku langsat so that I can enjoy it while watching Tokyo Juliet during lunch time.

This 2 cute Puti Fresh Bento Boxes. One is the 2 tier Puti Fresh Green Grapes and the other is the Puti Fresh Assorted Fruits Bento Box.

Duku langsat is in season now and you can see it everywhere at the night market. So sweet and nice. Even my 2 kids at home eat so much today.

Bento #2 : Lor Mai Kai & Sushi

After my Bento#1 and now come my Bento#2. Later in the afternoon, I am going to have Lor Mai Kai & Sushi for lunch. Today I am going to start to watch my new T-Drama.... Tokyo Juliet. Hahaha... got so addicted to it.

At the back of the bento box I filled up with sushi and the front is the Lor Mai Kai I make on Sunday morning.

This Hello Kitty bento strap.... cute hor! I bought it from Robinsons in Phuket. Guess how much is it? I am not going to say scared afterwards 'kena taruk' from my Dearie Suki if he read my blog again.

Bento #1: Crispy Cereal Prawns With Rice

Since I had a few sets of Bento Boxes now, so I will start to blog bout my Bentos. My very first lunch Bento to work. Looks ugly I think and I have no inspiration yet on how to decorate my food.

This was done last week and packed some left over food for lunch in the office. Since weather is so hot outside I hardly want to go out for lunch cos everytime I get back from lunch I tend to get headache. So its better for me to stay in the office for lunch and while eating I can watch my T-drama during lunch time. Hihihi.....

While I was packing this, Dearie Suki start teasing me again and was wondering what am I doing with the food and he said :

Dearie Suki : What are you doing ah ?
Me : Cannot see ah ! Packing my lunch!
Dearie Suki : Looks like you 'sulam bunga' on your rice la. Why want to arrange the cereal like that? What is that design ah? Moon ah ?
Me : No la, try to make a prawn shape.
Dearie Suki : LOL, y u so childish!
Me : ????? just for the fun of it. Eat also more happy! Hihihi...

Hubby's Dinner Bento Set

Tonight Dearie Suki will be home alone at home. Me and the kids are attending his cousin sister's 2nd baby fullmoon dinner at Fortuna Palace in Semenyih. Dearie Suki is not going with us cos he is having another appoinment in KL. Hopefully he can join me after his appointment.

I have prepared one Sushi Bento Set for him tonight so that he can have his dinner before he goes for his appointment at 8 pm. My very first set of Bento Box purchased online. Finally I got the chance to use it.

Make some rolled sushi for him using crabsticks, egg, cucumber and some mayonaise. On the other one, I packed some endamme beans and steamed sweet corn plus some Kikkoman Sushi Sashimi Soy Sauce for dipping in a cute mini container.

The 2 tier Bento Box is neatly packed and secured with the matching Bento straps and ready to be kept into the fridge for him till dinner time.

Also fried some wantan for him and for the filling I used minced pork. I hope he enjoy his dinner tonight before he go for his appoinment in KL.

Kids Bento For Lunch

Finally I get my 'butts' up to experiment with the Bento Accessories which I purchased online sometime ago. This morning, me and little girl preparing the cute lunch bento in the kitchen and the little KPC help me in arranging the foods on the plate.

Look this is what I have come out with for the 2 small babies at home.

Steamed sweet corn and endanmme beans, strawberries for dessert, rice moulded with the bear mould and Le-Ann help me to sprinkle the Furikakae seasoning on top of it. First time I am using the wiener mould. On the right is crab hot dog shape and left is the tulip flower. And finally I make the tamago. ( Gosh, I am not good in memorizing the names in Japanese hopefully I get it right. I love Japanese food but didn't bother to remember the names. )

Both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern enjoy their lunch so much and finished up their meals. Little girl loves the strawberry and she even take Ee-Thern share.

Not forgetting the big baby at home. I made some sushi for him using crabstick since I only have crabsticks in the fridge. Anyway he finished up the whole plate of sushi.

A Surprise !

Got to know from blogger friend Bento Pet that there is a 100 Yen shop in KL. I have been asking Dearie Suki has he come across one whenever he has his appoinment either in KL or PJ area. As far as I know there is one in Puchong and SS2 but I never have the time to drop by and see what they have inside.

Yesterday night Dearie Suki came home with a surprise for me. Guess what ? He brought a big 100 Yen plastic bag and get my little girl to bring it to me. Wow... so many cute stuffs he get for me but aikkkk.... crazy fellow get all the stuffs in pairs. I ask him why he get everything in a pair and you know what he tell me... ' So that each of his girl and boy get the equal share of stuff '. I think he 'sot sot' one. Going to ask sis see whether she want or not.

Dearie Suki took this picture for her while I was busy at the kitchen and I was not aware what are the 3 monsters doing in the store room.

2 sets of Puti Fresh Apple & Grape 2 tier Bento Boxes, 3 sets of Bento straps, 1 set of Hello Kitty small container ( according to him for the kids to store thier SMARTIES or M&M's ) , Shinkansen Cute Water Container and Bag & Sushi Plate.

Little Ee-Thern with all the cute stuffs and he too get excited when Daddy snap the picture.

So cute. Dearie Suki fixed this on the tap. Once the water dripping from tap, the penguin's hand will be moving.

This is interesting. He get a packet of Furikakae Chicken Seasoning for the kids and a box of Vanilla Cream Sandwich Cat's Tongue Cookies. Also a packet of Japanese Prawn Crackers but 3 of them finished up before dinner time.

Then again he start teasing me, all in all is only RM68.60 as compared to my USD58.00. Looks like in future I must think twice before I make any order. :P
