Bye 2007. Hi 2008

In just a wink of eye, today is the last day in 2007. Why time flies so fast? Me getting another year older, and my kids grow a year older. Thinking back for the past 12 months, what have I achieved so far... alamak I can't think of one. Sigh :( another year wasted.

Ok, Ok... atleast Year 2007, I .......

1. Pay off both of our cars installment. Which means with the extra money we can dump into our house and the office lot we bought.

2. Travelled the most this year and got sponsored by my Dearie Sukie... which means I think his business is getting better. Hopefully it will be better next year.

3. Started blogging and met a lot of new friends. Now, I just get hooked to it.

4. Started updating my CV. For the past 5 yrs, I have been dragging on not to update my CV and not to send to any HeadHunter reason being I am happy working with my current job. But after I realized one thing... there is no relation between an employer and an employee no matter how hard you work and how much effort you put in... and at the end of the day .... what I get is "Thank You, Sue. Well done. Good Job." ( I am bored with this statement )

5. Visited Europe after 2 years of waiting. Missed the trip last 2 years because I was having confinement at that time. What a waste.

Now Year 2008, my new year resolution ......

1. On diet. I have been talking about it for the past 10 years but still the same old me. Got to really do it this year.

2. Spend more time with my kids. Will put all my time and effort taking care both of them. No more shouting and scolding at home, I promised.

3. Must get my butt up for sourcing more products and sell it on-line. And must earn more side income.

4. Start looking for job hoping I can get a better one with a better pay. Money is the main concern now. Me and Dearie Suki, target to earn more money and wanted to be debt free in a few years time. Our house still got 9 more years to go and our office lot still got 5 more years to go. Wah... must be super hardworking leh.

5. Go for a trip again with Dearie Suki. Haven't plan a place to go. Any suggestion?

6. Project no.3, maybe on the way. Hopefully got la.

Today is new year eve and it is also Eve's Birthday. My good ci mui from UNI. Every year we will celebrate with her and countdown with her. Walau eh, every year dinner with her will be very expensive cos New Year Eve, where ever we go, it is all set dinner plus after dinner we will go for our drinking session and 'boom chak chak'. Atleast that night, I will spend about RM250 per person. Last year I was with them and only reach home the next morning at 6 am. But this year not going out cos she is celebrating with her boyfriend. Since she got boyfriend, so we better not to be her light bulb tonight.

We had an earlier celebration with her today. We went to Neway Karaoke at Puchong. My 2 kids is with me and I bring them along. Can't really enjoy the singing session because the 2 of them kept 'kacau' me.

4 good 'ci mui' from the same UNI. Still the same, no changed and as 38 as before. Hahaha....

I think Le-Ann and Ee-Thern enjoy more than me.

Sam & Nick Birthday

Just got back from a short holiday trip with the kids and Dearie Suki. We just reached home not long ago and I better blog bout my outing with my 'ci mui' last Saturday.

I picked up Eve at 7.30 pm at her place. The planned changed. We supposed to have dinner in KLCC but now changed to the Boat Man Restaurant in TTDI. Well, last minute change of venue always happen to us but we still enjoy our outing. hihihihi.....

Here come the birthday girls blowing the Birthday Cake

After dinner, we adjourned to Curve. Try to look for place at the Laundry Bar and its fully booked. Then went over to The Apartment only fully booked. End up went to the one opposite Laundry and I can't remember what is the name. I think is Sweet Temptation.

Lau Sir, our good friend joined us for a short while. He is also one of our good friend and always the torn among the roses. hihihihi... Anyway drinks is on him but we didn't drink much that night only a bottle of beer then 'san pien'. We left at about 12.30 am and send Eve back to her house. On the way back jammed at the Bukit Jalil way for about 45 minutes and there is a bad accident. Don't know who bang who but the black colour Nissan Sentra damn teruk. The whole car is a total wreck. Don't know whether the driver survive or not?

Anyway it is a great outing with the girls. Our next trip is to go Genting Highlands for a night since I tell them I am going there with the kids. Hopefully this trip jadi la.

Merdeka Gathering

Organized a Merdeka gathering at my place and invited my 'ci mui' to come over for 'makan and minum' feast. Send out emails to all of them and to get confirmation whether they can make it or not. After few emails with them finally we fixed the date for the gathering on the Merdeka Eve since everyone is free but got to omit out Mic cos she is working.

We are having some sort of port luck gathering. Each of them help me to get drinks, dessert and we even have pizza. So, me as the host and organizer, make steamboat cos majority prefer steamboat rather than BBQ. Last year gathering we had BBQ. Prepare the steamboat soup base and make two types of base : Lat Thong and Tom Yam. Not going to elaborate much cos now very sleepy Zzzz. Hope the photos will tell what we are doing on this day. Few more hours to go we are going for a family outing again with mom & dad, sis, BIL and their kids.

Since I am working yesterday, hence some of the foods I prepared one day earlier.

As for the steamboat, we have 2 types of soup base. Either Tom Yum or 'Lat Thong' soup base.

Whip up a quick and fast Moist Choco Cake last night. Let it cool down in the oven and this evening I frost it with choco cream and decorate it with a cute Malaysian flag.

Marinade some chicken wings with the Mccormick Hickory BBQ Buffalo Wings. Marinated this yesterday night and start the baking pocess in the oven yesterday before the party start.

Make some 'Mango Jellies' in the late evening after work.

Fruits Punch added in a can of beer and a can of ice-cream soda. Wah so nice and refreshing.

All started with appetizer first. The adults having the 'Buffalo Wing' and the kids having their YAKULT.

All of us enjoying the ice-cream at home. My 'ci mui' after makan session, we chit chat and have some wine and keep talking till about 2 am. Wah all ' beh tahab liao'. All blur blur after the whisky and wine.

MERDEKA, MERDEKA, MERDEKA !

Phuket Trip ( 10th - 12th August 2007 )

Back from Phuket yesterday and today I am on leave at home. Real tired yesterday night and knock off at 10 pm with the kids. An enjoyable trip with my good 'ci mui' indeed we really have fun and doing all the 38 act again.

Here are the photos of what we did there.

Day 1
VV pick up Mic, Sam and PF from Puchong and head to my house at about 9 am. Unload all their luggage from her car and load into my car as I am driving my car to park at LCCT. While transferring the bag we were nagging VV why bring a such big luggage as though she is going there for a week. LOL

Before we head on to LCCT, we had our Dim Sum breakfast at SK Restaurant in South City. Ordered quite a no of dim sum, char siew pau, porridge and we enjoy our yam char session for almost 1 hour before we move on.

Our flight to Phuket is at 12.15 noon and the flight is on time. Reach Phuket at about 2 pm and was picked up by the Club Andaman Beach Resort's van to send us for check-in. We booked the room package but the hotel rooms is full and hence they up graded us to the chalet room at no charge. We were lucky cos for that type of chalet room will cost about USD100 per night. We have 2 connected chalet rooms and added one extra bed for PF.

After checking in we refresh ourselves and without wasting the time we went to the hotel receptionist to book the day tour. Our DIY tour is 1st day booked a taxi to Central Festival for 'makan' then at night to watch the Simon Cabaret Show and after the show is free and easy session for us. 2nd day is a 1/2 day island hopping and then free and easy session at Phuket town. 3rd day we will only have 1/2 day to walk around before we depart back to KL.

We get Sam to be our Financial Controller and each of us polled $2000 baht per person for all the fees for shows, makans and transportation fees. She wil be in-charged paying off all the expenses we pooled.

After watching the Ah Kua's show we went for late dinner at about 11 pm at McDonalds. Walk around the street and get a 'tut tut' back to hotel. By the time we take bath, chit chatting and it is almost 2.30 am and get ready to Zzzzz for our next day activities.

Day 2

Woke up at 6.30 am and had our breakfast at 7.30 am cos we are going for a 1/2 day island hopping at Khai Noi Island. About 15 minutes speed boat ride from Phuket. We don't dare to eat too full cos all of us worry we will get sea sick. But luckily it is only a 15 minutes ride and not so bad.

We went for snorkeling and 4 of us me, Sam, Mic and VV swim about 200 meter from the shore to see the beautiful corals and colourful fishes under the water. PF didn't join us for long cos she is a .... 'Puteri Lilin' scared of getting sunburn. Anyway all of us got sunburned cos it is so hot and sunny. Khai Noi is a beautiful island but it is so crowded with tourist from Japan and Hong Kong and off course all the 'ang mohs'.

After the 1/2 day snorkelling and we went back to our hotel and by the time we reach the hotel it is almost 3 pm and all of us are so hungry. Went out to the town to look for food but end up having KFC at JungleCeylon shopping mall cos we are too hungry and can't be bothered to look for other special foods.

After our late lunch we went and shop around JungleCeylon shopping mall and Robinson. Me, Sam and PF came across the Thai Massage at the lower ground floor and we bargain with the girl for $550 baht per person to do the Foot and Thai Massage plus the Pedicure. Quite cheap I think. After hanging around for 3 hours there its time for dinner. Walk around the street and came across a Thai restaurant full with 'ang mohs'. Since the rest can't be bothered what to eat so we walk in an ordered some Thais food and the total bill came out to $1550 baht.

After the dinner start to hang around at the red light street which are full with pubs, ah kuas and hookers that tackle for potential 'sui yue'. Mic start asking us whether want to watch 'Tiger Show' or not cos she has not seen that before. 4 of us watch before so we told Mic to watch herself. 4 vs 1, she got to follow us no choice.

Start our shopping and bargaining for good price. VV did the bargaining job and we stand aside to pay money only once it is deal. I didn't buy much thing cos I don't like to shop there. Environment is just like our 'Petaling Street'. The more we bargain the more rude the people treat us. Maybe their target is 'ang mohs' so we got to walk away without buying.

Anyway I bought some clothes for the kids and a handbag together with my ci mui. It is almost 1 am in the morning and VV bought a few cans of beer to drink in the chalet. Take a 'tut tut' back to hotel and reach our chalet almost 1.30 am. We take turn to take bath and start packing our luggage. After that we start drinking and chit chatting all the nonsense thing in the room. Laugh and laugh and laugh non stop and the next door 'ang moh' must be thinking what are we up to in the middle of the night.

Day 3

Woke up at 9 am and prepare to go for our breakfast. We had a long breakfast and hang around the cafe till 10.30 am . Then start to walk around the resort and snap some photographs. We send PF off cos she is taking the 1.30 pm flight. After she left, we start checking out the hotel and do our last minute shopping before we get the cab to pick us up from Robinson and send us to the airport.

Last minute shopping? Grab a Guy Laroche credit card wallet for Dearie Suki for $600 bath with 5% discount. Me and Sam bought a Guy Laroche Purse for $2150 bath and with 20% discount. My Dearie Suki got scolded by me cos he thought I bought him an imitation Guy Laroche wallet. Really angry why he think I buy imitation goods for him. Anyway it is genuine one, OK. I think he like it cos I saw him start using the wallet this morning.

It is almost 2 pm and its time to head to the airport. We had our late lunch at the airport. We go for Burger King and total bill $840 bath and it is much more expensive than the Burger King here.

It is almost time and we board the plane at 5 pm. Reach LCCT at 6.30 pm and by the time I reach home it is almost 8 pm and both kids is waiting for me.

Sis called me up this morning thinking I am working. She got to know I am not working and ask me to accompany her to Nichii Fashion City at Sg Besi. Since I got nothing to do I accompany her cos she wanted to get a dress. She is real 'Devil' ask me to accompany her and end up I bought 2 dress, 1 cardigan and 1 white jacket.

Aiyar... spend another RM160 for clothes and feel so guilty cos spend money again. Anyway I tell myself treat this as a reward to myself for working so hard this year. hihihihi...

Tomorrow another day and life is back to normal. Got to work like 'cow and horse' in the office again. Just a wink of eyes, my fun holiday with my ci mui is over and we shall plan for next year.

My Short Vacation

Few more hours to go I am going for a short weekend vacation with my 'Ci Mui' again this year. This round we have 5 of us Michelle, Sam, VV, PF and me. 4 of us confirmed very much earlier and we booked our air ticket something like 5 months ago. PF confirmed 1 week before we depart and managed to booked the airticket but coming back she got to take the earlier flight than us.

This is our yearly affair and we 'Ci Mui' planned our holiday every year. Without Eve and Nicky around this year, I think you gals will miss the fun. Anyway I guess we will still enjoy our trip. Talking bout our trip we started this in year 2003. ( correct me if I am wrong 'ci mui ' ).

Year 2003 - Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

I am the organizer for this trip to Vietnam but end up I didn't go and forfeited my RM50o deposit. Why? Cos I am 6 weeks pregnant. Dearie Suki won't allowed me to go cos 1st pregnancy and he got worried if I insist to go. So I stayed back and sold the air ticket to my 4th Aunty.

This is a sponsored trip by my loving Suki. Too bad cannot go. Must make another trip there cos I heard shopping there is cheap.

Year 2004 - Singapore

I was 6 months pregnant ( 2nd pregnancy ) at that time. Booked my Air Asia ticket to JB with my 'ci mui' and planning to go for the Singapore sales but end up I 'fong fei kei' cos I got sick after I came back from my company Sales and Marketing Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Again Dearie Suki warned me not to go or try to board the plane without his approval.

According to Sam, thank god I didn't go. If not my leg will break cos they walk from morning till late midnight then stop for drinking and clubbing till wee hours in the morning. Aiyar... again my air ticket burned off and transfer it to Nicky. Wasted my money again.

Year 2005 - Bali, Indonesia

My little Ee-Thern is only about few months old and again I miss this trip. Since, Ee-Thern is still young so better stay back and take care of him if not my Dearie Suki cannot 'kau tim' 2 smalls kids with just 1 year gap. I miss the fun again with my 'ci mui'.

Year 2006 - Chiangmai, Thailand

Last year, we went to Chiangmai, Thailand. 6 of us this round and from this trip we meet our dear PF and now we become good 'ci mui'. The first time seeing her and I think she must be thinking this group of girls a bit of ' 38'. Even the 2 aunties ( me and VV ) also so crazy and sot sot. Talk nonsense, laugh for no reason, eat and drink till drop and shop till left RM4.00 back to Malaysia.

Few of us went there with objectives actually. I think me and Sam only. We were looking for wholesalers who sell those women fashion accessories like earrings, pendant, chain, etc... and hoping we can find something back to Malaysia and start some small business here. End up all go shopping and buy and buy and buy and forget our objectives there.

Anyway it is a fun trip and a memorable one cos we shop till got no money left on the last day. End up every night dinner is fried rice and a can of Coca-Cola.

Year 2007 - Phuket, Thailand

Few more hours, we will land in Phuket, Thailand. Have not been there hopefully it is a nice place for me to get away from stress and work. This morning in the office I work so hard just to finish my reports, orders and emails to principal before I go for my holidays. Finally everthing is done and I will have my 3 days 2 nights holiday here.

To my Dearie Suki, thank you again to sponsor my trip, LOVE him so much if he read my blog. Anyway dear, $10,000 baht not enough la for shopping. I got nag by him again not to buy so much unnecessary things back. Anyway I will not buy anything except food. Must control liao.

Hope he can manage the kids at home when I am not around and just a moment ago, he was talking to his little girl..... 'Girl ah, 2molo mommy not around we go McDonalds K'. See la this is how he pampered his girl.

To my fellow 'ci mui' I think we must plan somewhere further next year. I know it is hard for us to take long leave and we always go for short trip. Let's make it a point next year to save more money and maybe let's plan for Korea or Australia. What do you think ?

Ladies Naughty Outing

Went out clubbing with my good 'ci mui' on Friday night after work and also we take this oppurtunities to celebrate PF's birthday. All of us decided to go Karaoke at Mid Valley. It is quite fun when all of us meet and we will laugh, chit chatting, doing stupid acts, talk nonsense and day dreaming.

Not going to write much cos now is almost 3.30 am and few more hours to go I need to wake up and go to the wet market to do my weekly marketing. So I hope the photos will show what we did that night.

To all 'Ci Mui' I know you gals are eagerly waiting for pictures cos Sam MSN me few hours ago. So here you go and have a good laugh. 'LOL'

The karaoke session come with a buffet dinner package at RM38.88 per person. Food is so, so only. Nothing to complaint cos all of us are too hungry. But our main objective that night is to sing only.

Welcome to the 30's

Sorry 'ci mui' for the delayed post cos at that point of time still exploring how to do a blog.

Welcome Michelle to the 30's group. Time flies so fast and we used to be house mate, room mate,uni mate, course mate and also my car mate. Now we have our own family and career and not much time to meet up except through phone calls and emails.

Celebrated Michelle birthday at Dorsett Hotel on the 24th and have the high tea buffet from 12pm till 4pm. We laughed, chat and makan all the way till the buffet ends. Thanks to Evelyn, my good friend from Penang who organize this gathering. Hope we can have more gathering outside besides the one we did in my house so I can take a off day to take care my kids and can gila and drink all the night with you 'ci mui' . I think this is my 2nd gatherings held outside this year with you ppl ( one is my birthday at LaLa Chong and Michelle's birthday ).

Whose next then ? -> Pooi Fong, Nicky, Sammi, Eve ?
