Have you ever think of becoming a medical assistant as your future career?

My neighbour's daughter, Phoebe just finished her final exam in secondary school and she came over to my place to ask for opinions what should she do after her finals. The first thing I asked her is what is her interest and what are her dream career?

Her dream is to be a medical assistant. Since young she always wanted to be one of them that can assist the doctor in the hospital of taking care sick patient, performing examination, adminestering therapy treatment, and managing insurance and billing record. Nowadays a medical assistant has become one of the fastest growing profession and they are just as important as doctors in the hospital.

My advice to her is first of all to look for a medical assitant schools that near to her place and offered a medical training assistant programme . A good medical training school should include courses like healthcare administration, medicine transcriptions, offered a ultrasound and X-ray technology, etc.

Apart from that, if she have passed the CMAs ( Certificate Medical Assistants ) , then she will have a better career job advancement and job security. This is an important steps in her career and by doing so she need to pass the American Association of Medical Assistant, national certification exam.

Outing In Mid Valley

Yesterday is a public holiday and I told Dearie Suki lets bring the kids out to either One Utama or Mid Valley and he chosen Mid Valley because is nearer to our house. Off we go at 11 am after both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern took their bath.

We were so lucky cos we got a nice parking within 1 minutes and it is right infront of the Central Court exit. Haha.... We had our lunch in Sushi King. I had the Sushi from the conveyor belt, Dearie Suki had the Unagi Don, and both of the small one share a set of Kodomo Bento come with the Yakult drink.

Mommy with Le-Ann & Ee-Thern

After lunch we went over to Carrefour cos Dearie Suki wanted to get some X'Mas deco to decorate his client cafe. When it is almost near Christmas, Carrefour is marking down the price on all the ornaments. Me also sapu quite a number of items from there.

Dearie Suki went back to Carrefour to get more deco items and left me and the kids wander around in Mid Valley. Bring the two of them to Pet's Wonderland and stop by to watch the Fairies Dance Show from the 3rd Floor. We were there about 30 minutes just to watch the dance and the two of them sit down quietly and concentrating from the top.

Dearie Suki came and joined us after he 'kau tim' his thing and we went over to Jusco to do some groceries shopping before we head back home. In the car both of them slept. I think they must be too tired of not taking their afternoon.

But..... once woke up after 3 hours of sleeping, little Le-Ann was having fever and followed by my little Ee-Thern. Aiyor....really 'sui and both of them having high fever and what I could think off must be the Viral Fever Infection. Dearie Suki kept nagging me next time no more going out to places which is so crowded with people.

Today, little girl didn't go to babysitter house cos she started to vomit this morning and I only send my boy to babysitter place. Dearie Suki got to take a day off to take care of little girl. Hope both of them get well really soon.

A Simple One

Last 2 days, reached home cooked a big pot of Fish Curry With Vegetables. When it is almost done, my handphone rang.

Me : Yes
Dearie Suki : Dear ah, I am not coming back home to eat.
Me : Huh, y leh.
Dearie Suki : I am eating with PK.
Me : Yer... y like dat one. Cannot call back earlier one meh so I don't need to rush back and cook. ( Very angry feel like cekik him )
Dearie Suki : Nvm la keep for tomorrow I eat everything for you.
Me : Hello, I cooked fish curry ah, got santan inside can keep so long meh.

I really don't understand him, if he can't get back home and eat why can't he call me earlier. If not I would bring the kids out to Alamanda, Putrajaya for McDonalds.

That night I had dinner alone with the kids. Not eating rice but make myself a piece of Roti Pratha, the frozen one from Kawan brand. I never like to buy frozen stuff but after reading some bloggers comments about this brand, I gave it a try. Result not bad woh, crispy and it is as nice as those selling from the Mamak stall. Must try.

Before I could enjoy my Roti Pratha, Le-Ann and Ee-Thern wallop the whole piece and left nothing for me. I got to take another piece, not one but two pieces from the fridge and heat it in a non-stick pan.

The next day, Dearie Suki is not back for dinner cos he has to helped one of his customer to put up the Christmas Deco in their cafe in Times Square. Me eating alone again and with the big pot of fish head curry.

I took some wholemeal pasta sample from office and boiled it. Pour the fish curry over the pasta and another simple dinner for me. I miss the 'Kon ( Dry ) Curry Mee' I used to eat in Glenmarie. After my office shifted to Subang Jaya, we hardly go back there and eat.

Here is my own version of 'Kon Curry Pasta'.

I don't really like the Wholemeal Pasta, taste yucks! I know it is a very healthy one but I just don't like the texture, rough and a bit hard and it is not to my liking. We tried the sample in the office and split into 2 groups..... one group is below 35 yrs old and another group is above 36 yrs old. The younger group give comments it taste sucks and the older one love it so much. So it is clearly stated this is targeted at the older age, health conscious and willing to pay for a higher price !

Poor Boy... Sakit Perut

My poor little boy is having diarrhoea since yesterday evening. Bring him to the see the padeatrician this morning and Dr.Chong told me it may due to a mild food poisoning and he also has a mild throat infection. My Ee-Thern what 'Kau Si Lap Sap' also eat but my biggest suspicion is the ABC he drank last Sunday.

Called up Ah Yoke Cheh, my baby sitter this afternoon and she told me he is OK and he is eating and drinking well but he 'Lau Sai' more than 3 times today. Once reach home, he kept complaining to me that he 'Sakit Perut' and I try to rub some 'Yuyi Oilment' on his stomach.

Ah boy, still sakit perut ?

Give him the medicines that Dr. Chong prescribe and make a bottle of milk for him before he doze off as early as 9.30 pm. My poor little boy makes me 'Kek Sim' see him sakit perut. Get well soon boy, Mommy loves , loves, loves you so much. Muahaaa! He is always my little boy at heart.

Next week is a long holidays, me and Dearie Suki will take this time to decorate the kids room. We have done with Le-Ann's room and now is Ee-Thern's room. Decorating a girl's room is much more easier than a boy's room. Both of us try to find a theme for Ee-Thern's room but yet to have any inspiration. She Graduated !

My little girl finally graduated from her Music Kids Class yesterday night. Last Sunday afternoon, I send her to the trial class to enrol her into the Junior Music Kids Class and to my dissapointment she is not paying attention in it. Spoke to her teacher yesterday night, she said maybe is because it is a new teacher on board and 2 new students which is 2 years older than her in the new class. Little girl is the youngest. But once reach home she will start to sing on her bed as what her teacher taught her. Her teacher told me some kids they are not paying attention in the class but they are actually listening what the teacher taught them. Is she one of them ?

Sigh... I think the lesson is getting harder now cos she need to play on the electone and sing. I think the person who is having the stress most is ME. Or should I say I am another KIASUMOM.

This coming Sunday, I am going to send her for the 2nd trial class. Hopefully it will be better.

Crispy Prawn Fritters

I made this Crispy Prawn Fritters for tea time last Saturday. Both me and Dearie Suki loves the crispy prawn fritters that comes with the Rojak Buah. When I was in my 2nd pregnancy, I was craving for Rojak Buah. I used to get Dearie Suki go back to Kajang on every Sunday and buy the Rojak Buah from one of the Rojak man selling at the Tmn Bukit Mewah night market on Sunday.

This Rojak Taukeh used to sell his Rojak outside the Great Wall supermarket in Kajang. From a motorbike stall and now upgraded to a van. Personally I hate buying from him cos he always boost around while I am waiting for his Rojak. While making his Rojak he will start boosting that he is the Rojak King in Kajang, his Rojak is the best, his customers even come as far as Singapore and 'ta pau' more than 10 packets back to Singapore and worst still he will tell me, anyone open next to him sure 'chup lup' cos cannot compare with his Rojak. Walaueh... I want to LOL when I heard this.

Why we like to buy from him cos we loves his crispy prawn fritters. We always add extra of the crispy fritters and a whole packet of Rojak will come out about RM8. Pretty expensive huh just for the crispy fritters.

Last Saturday I decided to give it a try to make the crispy fritters. I can't find any recipes from the net and finally I used the batter recipe for making a Pie Tee shells from Amy Beh. The recipe stated to use 100gm flour and 1 tbsp rice flour. Followed the recipe exactly and quite happy with the results and it is really crispy. But......

I am dissapointed cos it is only crispy on the 1st day. On the 2nd day the prawn fritters became soft although I stored it in an airtight container. Sigh :( Oohhh, can someone please enlighten me what is wrong with it why I can't get those sell at the Rojak stalls. Perhaps should I just changed the recipe the other way round, to use 100gm rice flour and 1 tbsp flour?

Whether it is crispy on the 1st day and soft on the 2nd day, me and Dearie Suki finished up everything . The crispy one we dip it with the Rojak sauce and the soft one we dip it with Lingam's chilli sauce.

I won't give up and I am going to try my 2nd attempt this Saturday with my own version of recipe. Hopefully it works.
