Time really flies and in just a wink of eyes, December month is approaching again. Its time of the year to take out the Christmas tree in the store room and to set it up at the living hall with my two kids. Both of them are pretty excited when I mentioned I am going to take out the tree. It is also the time of they year I am getting geared up to shop for Christmas present for the kids, my loving hubby and also my fellow cousin.

The list of presents in their wishing list is pretty long. I wonder whether I have the time to do all the shopping during the weekend and looking at my work schedule it is hardly for me to find time to shop again. My next option is to choose to shop online at Shopwiki. A one stop online shop that you could find anything and everything you want to get.

I am planning to get Dearie Suki a nice and stylish cuff links for this Christmas. I couldn't resist to get more than one cuff links for him because he really looks very professional by wearing it. The weather these few days is crazy. Everyday without miss, the weather is hot in the afternoon and the rain heavily in the evening. The thing I hate most is when it rains in the evening which is just right after office hours. It created bad traffic and it took me 1 hour to reach home instead of 30 minutes. My cousin told me we are lucky here because we still get rain but the weather in Arizona is as hot as 80 degress. Wow, this is crazy and it is extremely hot. Here are the CNY cupcakes I did on the eve of CNY. The kids and cousins at home loves cupcakes. I am trying to used up the fondant at home and wouldn't want to keep it anymore. Trying to do something simple and used the fondant to do the small mini tangerine, the gold and also the cow. Anyway, no one eat the fondant and too bad they scrap it off and threw it away. Sigh :(

Dearie Suki loves pineapple tarts and my CNY will not be complete without the pineapple tarts. This is my only baking for this year, didn't do much because I am rather busy in cooking. Love the texture of the tarts pastry. It is really melt in the mouth type. So yummy!

I had a huge juicy and tender beef burger with beef bacon plus loads of french fries at TGIF. Die ! I am gaining more and more weight now. At times I really confused with myself. Happy I eat, sad also I eat. What is wrong with me? Anyway, whether I go to TGIF, Uncle Chilli's, Tony Roma or any cafe or restaurant for lunch, I tend to order burger. I love burger especially beef burger.

I have been trying to make my own beef burger patties but then it is quite hard to do it at home. Dearie Suki won't allowed any beef at home because we had a Kwan Yin Goddess at home. Maybe I should try with minced pork because my kids love burgers too. This week my schedule is full, maybe after CNY la, I will try to make some meat patties. Hahaha...

I was cleaning my drawer yesterday night with Le-Ann and found my big box of those costume jewellery in it. I totally forgot about it. Some of it are bought in Chiangmai and some are from China. I was thinking to send it out to the jewellery shop to clean it but then I doubt it will cost me a bomb. Is anyone out there know how to do your own home made jewelry cleaner ?

The Mahjong Season Is Here

The mahjong season is here. Last Saturday after the pre-CNY reunion dinner, the kids wanted to go back to their Tai Mah's house to play. Since everyone will be there, I drove the kids there. Once reached home, wah my sis and Leen started to play mahjong. Me and Joe watching from the side cos I never understand how to play.

My 2 kids seems interested in it. Ee-Thern sit on Leen's lap and watching her quietly while Le-Ann KPC at the side playing with her coin chips. Aiyor .... Sis said have to buy another mahjong table cos one is not enough. My BIL is not playing, Dearie Suki is not playing and my Dad is not playing because tak cukup table. Aiyor ....

I Need More Mini Storage

Last Sunday I was cleaning their toys and ended up giving away 3 big bags of toys to my cousin and I have another 2 big bags of toys which the kids wanted to play on. I took the toys out to the car porch and washed it and dried it. I really need to re-organize their toys. I think I really need to get more of the mini storage boxes to keep their toys. Really eye sore when I see their toys lying all over the house.

Fruits Overloaded

This is what happen to me when I was at the night market last Tuesday. I passed by a fruit stall and ended up buying too much fruits and we can't even finish after few days. So you see how greedy am I when everything is cheap I just buy without thinking that it is actually too much at home. After few days, I took all the fruits out and started to cut it and packed into the bento boxes and let the kids eat it.

So do you agree with me that, we spend more money at the night market as compared to the supermarket or hypermarket?

We had a family reunion dinner last Saturday with Uncle HH and family. After the dinner we went back to Ah Mah's house. My sis and my cousins are playing mahjong and me sitting next to them watching them playing. Me, after so many years, I never understand how to play mahjong till today.

Me and Joe were testing the flash on my camera phone and we tried snapping some pictures. My BIL and my nephew refuse to let us snap their picture and ended up this is what we get. Hahaha... so funny and both looks like a criminal for not letting us to snap their pictures.

A Day Out At IKEA

It is another day out at IKEA with me and my 2 kids only. After I drop Sis in Taman Tun, I head on to IKEA with the kids. It is still early and there are not much cars at the carpark. I managed to get a nice parking right infront of the entrance in just minute. Phewwww... what a relief. Both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern are hungry and I brough them to the cafe for an early lunch. Ordered spaghetti bolognaise for Le-Ann and Ee-Thern had a fish burger with some fries plus each of them had a packet of apple juice.

Both of them are pretty happy and behaved very well. Well, that is the beauty of your kids when they are grown up. No more baby cries and carrying here and there. Both will just walked on their own and eat on their own without disturbing me. Ooohhh... how nice and the three of us really enjoyed our day at IKEA.

Ee-Thern got this big motorbike from my in laws. Wow, that is real huge and he just need to step on it and it will move. The first try he is a bit scared and refused to step on the accelerator. My in laws are Catholic and every year we will be at their place for Christmas. The kids are happy to be there too because they love to play with their big Suk Suk and Ku Cheh. This year we didn't put our Christmas tree up because Dearie Suki has been busy for the past few weeks before Christmas and furthermore the Christmas is put too high up in the store room. I couldn't managed to get it by myself. The kids are a bit dissapointed when I told them there will be no Christmas tree at home but then there will be one at their Mah Mah's house.

The kids are happy when they saw the Christmas tree at Mah Mah's house. Both of them has been playing with the Christmas ornaments on the tree and their poor Ku Cheh have to put all up again once we went back home. Hahaha...

I was having lunch with TCH yesterday afternoon and we went into one of the restaurant in SS14, Subang Jaya. Oh gosh... I forget to take a peek what is that restaurant name but I will definately go there for a second time. I tried something unique in this restaurant. Have you heard of Fried Asam Laksa? The name of the dish itself is so unique and I ordered one plate to try out and I love it. It taste just like Asam Laksa but its fried and dry. Then top up with thinly cut strips of cucumber, big onion, pineapple, bunga kantan, lime and some mint leaves. It is so delish and I am going to tell Dad about it and try to cook it at home one day. Yummy....

Quit Smoking Now! That is what I have been telling Dearie Suki all these years. When I delivered Le-Ann he quit for sometime and then after a year, he started it again. Then when I delivered Ee-Thern he quit again for a short period. Now he told me that he will try to reduce it. I am tired of telling him again because as a murtured adult, I think he would be able to judge what is good or bad for his health. Recently, I found out that both his kids are scolding him once he smoke. That was the conversation I heard from the kids while I was cooking. Le-Ann and Ee-Thern told off their Daddy when he smoked again. Guess what they told him? "Daddy, I angry with you when you smoke!" Hahaha.. what a good sentence.

A Tired Day

It was raining cats and dogs the whole of yesterday. We were in IKEA last evening and both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern is having so much fun pushing the kids trolley. I dragged Dearie Suki to come along because I want to get some idea how to decorate the kids room. Now, he is telling me to do it after Chinese New Year. Haizzz.... he has been telling me that since the past one year and I wonder when he really wants to do it.

Surprisingly this year there is not much Christmas ornaments sold in IKEA. I was thinking to get some of it but ended up I can't find any and bought one kitchen rack for my kitchen instead. The queue in IKEA is terrible. Le-Ann was crying and wanted to have ice-cream but looking at the crowds and queue, I need to forget about it. Brought them for dinner at Old Klang Road for Pan Mee. This morning, Ee-Thern woke up and refused to go to Daycare. Oh gosh... he kept telling me he don't want to go to school and he wanted to go kai kai *faint*. Worst still when I told him I will bring him out on Thursday and he told me to kept my promise. *Aduiiii*

Be Extra Careful This Coming Festive Season

The festive season is coming and the economy is getting real bad. Everyday over the newspaper you can read that robbery and snatch thief is taking place at every corner of the country. I have never come across my mind to be extra careful when I am walking alone or I am staying alone at home until Dearie Suki told me about his cousin sister's case. What happened was his cousin sister was alone with her two kids at home one night. Her husband was not at home that night and left her with her two kids. As usual she will do her laundry at about 11 pm while her two kids were asleep. Suddenly she heard some voice in her house when she was outside the balcony doing her laundry. She was shocked when she saw a man running up her room and took her handbag and then run down from her room and straight away dash out from her front door.

She was shocked and stunned. The first thing she did was to run up the room and checked on her two kids whether both are safe. After that she was shivering and traumatized over the incident and she was so scared to go back to her house when her husband is working late. It is really scarey when such thing happen to you. I was thinking if I am in her shoe I also will get traumatized over it.

After hearing that, I am extra careful whenever Dearie Suki is not around. To be on the safe side, Dearie Suki had bought a Fenix Flashlight for me. He adviced me in any case if there is a robber came into our house, just lock ourself in the room and don't come out. He told me to use the flashlight and light it over the guard at the guard house since my house is few doors away from the guard. I am now more alert to my surrounding whenever I am with my kids. Better be save now than sorry.

December Is Here Soon

In just a wink of eyes, December is approaching soon. It is just like we celebrated Christmas last year and now it is another year to come. The three of us were at Jusco last night for dinner and Le-Ann and Ee-Thern saw the Christmas tree at the concourse area. Both insisted I took a picture for both of them. When I was driving back from Jusco last night, both of them start asking me "Mommy, where is our house Christmas tree" . Both still remembered they decorated the Christmas tree last year ( click here ). Time really flies and very soon we will be preparing for CNY. I think the most happiest person is still the kids. How I wish I can be kid again.

Both my kids will be having school children's day this coming Friday. Last night Le-Ann came back and took her communication book to me. She said Teacher Fann asked her to show mommy. In the book it is written that parents are encouraged to provide some gifts for other children. What I have in mind is to bake cupcakes for the kids and decorate the above the fish design. Wow... I think I need to do 100 cupcakes and I wonder whether can I make it to do or not on Thursday night.

I am down with a bad flu and sore throat the past two days. The weather is real bad outside it is either heavy pour in the morning then very hot and sunny day for the rest of the day or the other way round.

I went to the Dr the past two days and the Dr again told me I am having a low blood pressure.Huh? Me having low blood pressure? I really couldn't believe it. But lately I felt giddy and it is just like I wanted to black out at times in the office. Why is wrong with me? Am I having some other sickness? I told Dearie Suki about this and also told him the place that I sit in my small cubic is just right under an air-con. Most of the time the cool air will blow directly on top my head. Is this bad? I think I must request to change my place since the Feng Sui is not too good for me.Hahaha...

I have been bentoing quite frequent lately. I really got no heart to know much more about the management arrangement in the office. I am still pissed off with the empty promises given to me. The housing area I am staying now is so quiet on a Raya Eve. My neighbours are mainly Malays who are working in the goverment offices in Putrajaya, some of them are lecturers and professors in UPM and some of them are masters students. Last night when I peeped out from my room's windows, all of them sudah balik kampung for the Raya celebration. It is really quiet and as though I am staying in a ghost town. But good things is there is no traffic jam and it tooks me only 20 minutes to reach the office this morning.

Tonight I must stop by at the Pak Cik's lemang stall outside my house to get myself some lemang and rendang ayam for tomorrow breakfast. Yum, yum... my saliva is already drooling.

Happy Birthday, Ee-Thern. 25th September is my boy birthday. He is 3 years old today. Time really flies and this coming Sunday, I think Mom will be preparing to hold a birthday party bash for him and my Dad. Dad birthday falls on this coming Sunday and I will be busy again to bake 2 cakes for both of them. Hmmm... planning to bake Durian Cake. Hehehehe..

Last night, I baked a batch of Butter Cupcakes for Ee-Thern to bring to school today. He will be celebrating his Birthday with his classmate. Then this morning when I send him to school he is singing a Birthday song to himself while holding his new Thomas & Train bag. Daddy bought a RM99.90 school bag for him. Wah so expensive! Siao! Losing weight.... it is the hardest thing I can do in my life. I used to be slim and thin but once after I step into the corporate world I gained 7 kg when I first started with my first company. There are so many entertainments and working in the food industry I got the chance to try various food from international level to the hawker level. If you are a food lover, isn't this job is such a great job. You get to eat and try new food. I am a person who love to eat and try for new food invention. I think I can eat anything as long as it is edible. Hahaha... that is a real bad eating habit of me. Over the years as I grow older, I realized my metabolisme rate drop. I am not as active as last time and losing the extra pound from my body is just so hard. My weight started to gain from 46 kg to 53kg. Then things get worsen when I gave birth to my 2 little kids. I gain another 5kg and now my total weight is 58kg. I have been telling myself I need to lost 12 kgs.

I have been trying very hard to loose my weight. Last month I went to see the Doctor and he found that my blood pressure is at the low side. I did tell him that I am on a strict diet now and I hardly take breakfast and lunch. Only a little bit of rice for dinner. The Doctor told me, low calories diet is extremely dangerous, then low carb plans are way too strict for Asian, and low fat foods wouldn't work for long term. I am actually on weight watchers plan and I tried the Jenny Craig plan before but it just takes too long to see the result.

My good buddy FL, recommend me to this great diet plan and it is totally just so awesome. Its a new way to diet by experiencing a permanent and lasting weight loss. You eat more but you still loose your weight. You can continue to eat your favourite foods and you can look thinner in just 10 days and you will be a happier, stronger and healthier person. Isn't this diet plan is just so simple. I have tried and the fact of dieting is all about FOOD. The fact is, by eating the right food at different interval each day, it will send you metabolism levers through the roof and experience the fast and drastic weight loss. I have loose 3 kgs in a week and I will stick to this diet plan and I am gonna do it.

The kids is back to school today. I am glad the school re-open today. For the past one week, my 2 little rascal at home.... play and fight then play again and fight. In a day, they can call me 5 times on the handphone, crying and complaining who hit who. Aduiii... makes me so headache.

Pick them up from the daycare this evening and both seems to look cheerful and even when they are in the car, they kept telling me about their friends, what they play with them, what song they sing, what they eat and what they did in school. Look at my little boy above, he is so happy when I picked him up from daycare. Hahaha.. .can even sing 'Ba ba , black sheep , have you ......'

My 2 Kids At Home

It's a school holiday and my 2 kids is at home with Dearie Suki. I won't be able to take any leave due to some important meeting that I can't be avoided. Kids at home didn't go anywhere as Le-Ann is having some skin rashes which causes itch to her and she has been staying indoor since Monday. Poor little girl, every morning asked me whether got schooling or not. Guess what my 2 kids did at home.....

6.30am : Wake up and asking for milk mill then started to play by their own. i.e: colouring, playing with toys, etc...

7.30am : Went down to the living room, waving bye bye to me and Le-Ann started to cry while Ee-Thern didn't bother to say bye to me and he just concentrate to the cartoon on the TV.

8.00am : Le-Ann called me over the handphone and started .... "Mommy, mommy please come back now. Didi hit me on the eyes... bla,bla,bla" and there she goes the list of complaint.

8.10am - 1.00pm : Play on their own and turning the house upside down.

1.30pm : Take bath and had lunch.

2.00pm - 4.00pm : Play again and this round turning the room upside down.

4.00pm - 8.00pm : Slept till dinner time.

See this is their everyday activities during school holiday. Dearie Suki was having headache taking care of them as both of them turned their Daddy upside down. Hahaha..

Be Healthy , Think Healthy

Me and Dearie Suki realized that as we grow older, there are numbers of sickness pop out in our health. Both of us went for a check up and the result shown that our cholesterol level is at the border line which means it is not a good sign. Doctor advise us to control our in-take now and make sure we exercise more and eat healthily. Hmmm... it is kind of hard for me especially when I am working in the food industry. Day and night we have been testing out new food products and when come to festive season, we have been invited by suppliers for dinner at the posh Chinese restaurants. So how am I going to go on diet ? I did think of go dieting by having diet pills but so far I have yet to try one. From today onwards I must have the determination to go dieting and must always carry my motto... "Be Healthy, Think Healty". How I wish I have such figures again.

The Olympic Fever Is Here

The Olympic fever is here and my kids has been following both of us watching the Olympic games over the TV. I get Dearie Suki to called up Astro just to add the sports channel so that I can watch it over the weekend and at night. Luckily both my kids didn't fight with me over their Cartoon Network Channel. Hehehe... good girl and good boy ya.

For the past few days we have been watching the artistic gymnastic event for both men and women. Both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern lie down quietly on the sofa watching the sport. Phewww... so far so good and both of them kind of interested in it. Sis told me there is a Gymnastic's Russian coach has been coaching some young children in one of the Chinese school near my place in Sri Serdang. Hmmm.... I wonder which is it and maybe I want to enroll them in this games. My kids has been practicing and act as the gymnastic stunt at home.Hehehe... so funny and wait till you see their act, you will LOL. The Termites Hit Again

Last week I called up Aunty AC because the kids wanted to go to her house and play with Baby Edmund. She told me not to go there because the termites pest control agency are doing the infestation at her house. Oh no, not again. Her house has been hit by termites few months back and now the termites hit her house again. This round she found the termites is eating up her house roof near her bedroom. This is really scary. When I was at her house the first time, I really scared when I saw those termites. There are few millions of it in her house.

I got so worried that night and told Dearie Suki that our house is built under a rubber plantation land. According to the pest control agency, houses that built under this type of land will easily attract termites. I am going to get the pest control agency to give me a free inspection to my house and it is better to prevent my home now rather than sorry later. Having termites at home is causing more damages to your house and it is worst than earthquakes, fire or storms. I wouldn't want my house to be like Aunty AC house.

Sports Day 2008

My son is trying to show off his medal he get from his school sports day. He is really excited about the games and running here and there and I've got to chase after him. After the event, we went back to Ah Mah's house and again he show off his medal to his Kong Kong, Poh Poh, Tai Yee, Faye Yiyi, Kau Fu, Chek Kong, Chim Poh and also both the maid. Hahaha....

I have been blogging for almost 1 1/2 years now and very soon my blog is going to be 2 years old. Ohhh... how time flies. Over a period of time, I just find blogging is such an interesting hobby for me and I even encouraged two of my good friends to start to have their own blog. Apart from my this very first blog, I have created another 3 new blogs for my cooking, baking and for my kids.

As for my 3 other blogs, I am blogging using the wordpress themes to create my blog page. It is user friendly and I am happy with the templates I downloaded from wordpress. I am going to create another new blog to write down my hobby in gardening. Getting Chubbier And Fatter

Both Le-Ann and Ee-Thern has been at the daycare for almost 2 months. Both of them already get used to the daycare except for Le-Ann still crying on and off when I send her to kindie. One thing I can see the changes in them is that both are more disciplined as before.

The very obvious thing you can see in both of them is that both is getting chubbier. I think there is no junk food in school and they always eat on time and sleep on time. Even when they reached home, they will have one big bowl of rice and one big bowl of soup. After dinner, watch their cartoon for a while and then up to the room to read their reading books before they have their milk. By 10 pm, both will slept till the next morning.

All my aunts that saw both of them last week also told me they are chubbier now. When I bring them out for evening walk around my house, even my neighbours also told me that both are getting fatter. Le-Ann especially you can see her chubby face and body, where else Ee-Thern is only on the face. His body size is still small like Dearie Suki.

I came across to know some very young and talented designers which was recommended by my advertising agency. They are helping me to design a dress for the ambassador we engaged to launch one of our new product. While meeting them up for a brief, I was told they are graduated from a fashion schools in Los Angeles. According to them Califonia is such a huge place and it is famous for its fashion industry. This is because it is near to Hollywood which have a high influenced in film industry. The two designers that I met is certainly two of the very talented one that graduated from there. I can't wait to see their design of the dress for the product launch.

As a person who loves to cook, I always looking forwards to learn more Italian Cooking. Well it is not so much of because I was handling a pasta products here but it is my interest to learn more about it and I always Italian Cooking is always unique. In Italian dishes, the one I love most is the pasta, pizza and bruschetta with tomato and basil. Both my kids loves pasta and every weekend both of them are looking forward to have the pasta for their lunch.

The easiest pasta dish to prepare for them is Aglio Olio pasta. Cooking this pasta dish is simple so easy and what you need is to have a good quality of olive oil. In Italian Cooking, a good quality of Italian extra virgin olive oil is a must. Why? Because it is not only tastes good but it is also good for our health. It has zero cholestrol, antioxidant-rich vitamins, and high level of good mono saturated fats. The best olive oil I have ever tried is from Olive Nation Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The olive seeds are freshly hand picked by the farmers and it is then pressed on the day itself to get the fresh aroma, flavor and colour of the olive oil. Hurry get one of it today and experienced yourself. Here is a recipe for Aglio Olio pasta for sharing.

Aglio Olio Pasta
Serves 4
Prep: 5 min. Cook: 10 min.

Ingredients:
1 lb. spaghetti
3 oz. Olive Nation Italian extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, sliced
2-3 chopped dry red peppers
Handful of chopped parsley
3-4 tbsp of salt for the pasta

Methods :
Saute the garlic and red peppers in the extra virgin olive oil for 5-7 minutes until the garlic becomes golden brown. Meanwhile follow the directions on the package to boil the pasta (7-8 min.). Remember to add the salt as instructed on the package. When the pasta is ready (a bit al dente), drain and put in the serving platter. Pour the hot garlic and pepper oil on top. Add the chopped parsley. Mix well to make sure all the pasta is coated with the oil. Serve immediately.

Wine: either white or red.

Pre-CNY Reunion Dinner

Last Saturday we had our pre-CNY reunion dinner. Every year without missed, me and Sis will buy Uncle HH & Aunty SH plus their kids for a pre-CNY reunion dinner. Reason being Sis will not be around during CNY cos need to 'balik kampung' to Ipoh. Me the most lucky one cos married to a husband from the same 'kampung' just 2 roads away from my Ah Mah's house. So CNY, I will be here. CNY Eve in Ah Mah's house, 1st day, 2nd day and the rest of the day also will be in Ah Mah's house. Lucky right!

I doubt if I married someone who are from East Malaysia, I am sure every year I will cry like hell and missed the fun and the merrier of CNY in Ah Mah's house.

Last Saturday we had our dinner at Sek Yuen Restaurant, in Pudu KL. One of the very old Chinese restaurant and served some of the dishes whereby you can't get in any of the other Chinese restaurants. Dad ordered the dishes and OMG all also meat.

At the end of the dinner I complaint to Sis, why ordered all the meaty dishes and there is no prawns or fish. As usual Dad ordered the dishes. Now you know my family are all meat eaters.

Going to cut short the story and hope the following photos will explained the fun of having a reunion dinner with family members.

Not too bad huh, but I think is too much meat. Next week there will be another dinner and this round Uncle HH will buy us and family. Venue yet to know and I am looking forward for the dinner. Oh NO, I am going to gain more weight!

This morning Le-Ann woke up and started telling me not once but thousand times that she wanted to go Tai Mah's house. I kept explaining to her that we will only go on Sunday and not today. I was wondering why she wanted to go so much and I asked her why. Guess what ? She told me she wants to go Faye Ah Yi's house to play games. Huh ?

For the past few weeks, once we reached Ah Mah's house, both of them will automatically get down the car and run over to Faye's house ( my Uncle house next to my Ah Mah's house ) and didn't even come back over for lunch. I even got to prepare their lunch and bring it over to feed them.

Once I was there, the whole bunch of kids ( my cousins, nephew and niece ) including my 2 litte kids playing the Wii Games, Leen bought it back from Australia. Wah lau eh, at such a young age know how to play the Wii.

Her 1st Artwork

I haven't been checking on Le-Ann' school bag since the last few days. Reason being I am too busy and all this was done by Dearie Suki. Last 2 days, Dearie Suki took something out from her school bag and show me this.

Ooohhh.... I am so impressed with her. Her first artwork and I am going to file it in an arch file. Dearie Suki fetch her to kindie every morning and he told me, now once reach kindie, she will get down the car and straight run into the class without saying 'BYE BYE' to Daddy. She used to kiss him and say BYE BYE before she get down the car. Looks like she is looking forward to go to school.

I realized after she goes to kindie there are some changes in her.

1. She is much more independent now.
2. She wear her own and take out her own shoes.
3. She wear her own clothes without any help.
4. She brushes her won teeth and 'poo poo' at the toilet bowl by herself.
5. She learn to have manners. Always say 'Thank You', 'Please' .
6. She learn to eat on her own and listen to her mama ( babysitter ).
7. She learn to be more hygienic... wash her hand before and after she eat and go toilet.
8. She learn to pick up the toys after her little brother play and even know how to take care her brother.

Wahhhhh.. not too bad huh my little girl.

OMG, I am so busy this week in the office and I don't even have the time to blog and blog hopping. Sigh :( .... It's appraisal time again and I am real dissapointed with the company. 5 years of dissapointment and I tell myself after the 'B' pay out .... I am going to move. F*@# it and don't wanna give them a single damn anymore.

As promised, I am going to share with you my Dad's secret recipe on marinating the chicken with Bunga Kantan. I simply loves my Dad's cooking and he is the best cook. Every Sunday I look forward to go back to my Ah Mah's house and hoping Dad will cook something nice for us. Hahahaha.... at least a Sunday with GOOD FOOD to cheer me up !

So here is the ingredients for marination. So sorry there is no measurement for the ingredients and its a 'agak-agak' thing based on my own instinct.

Ingredients : Blended till fine

Onion

Ginger

Lengkuas

Bunga Kantan

Some water for blending

I marinate my boxing chicken with the above ingredients, preferably overnight. Remember to add some salt and pepper to the chicken. Then coat the chicken with some cornflour and deep fried till golden brown.

My little girl love it so much especially when she dip it with tomato ketchup.

Bunga Kantan

Last 2 weeks, while I was MSNing with BigFishChin, my new blogger friend, she suddenly asked me what is the name for 'Bunga Kantan' in English. Tried to help her search through the web and it is called Torch Ginger. The 'Bunga Kantan' has a very aromatic smell and it is usually used in Asam Laksa, Tom Yam, Nasi Kerabu and I know that Thai people loves to used it in their Thai cooking.

While chatting with her I told her I planted some infront of my house and going to chopped it down cos the plant grow so tall. Furthermore I hardly used it for cooking. I just plant it for the sake of planting it infront of my house. She told me not to chopped it off cos it is very expensive selling outside. Wah, she told me she bought 2 stalks for RM3.40. That is really expensive and I changed my mind not to chopped it off and instead I am still keeping it. I did offer to my opposite Malay neighbour, if she need it she can cut it since I hardly used it for cooking. You know why? Cos my Dearie Suki hate the smell especially when I eat Asam Laksa or Nasi Kerabu at home.

My dad used bunga kantan (blended till fine) to marinate the chicken before he deep fried it. Intereting isn't it. Will post the recipe up once I tried his recipe.

After 1 Week Of Schooling

At last I felt relief, my little girl stop crying after 1 week in kindie. I was there with her on the 1st day and then the following days, Dearie Suki fetch her to kindie. The 2nd day as usual she cried and really cried so loud. Dearie Suki got to leave her there and go cos the longer he stays the harder she cried.

Then subsequently, I could say almost everyday, Dearie Suki called me at about 8.30 am when I just stepped into my little cubic in the office. He started to complaint that his little sweetheart taking her own sweet time to get herself changed into her uniform. Then she wanted to finish watching her Barney's Cartoon first. Then she told Daddy that she wanted to drink Vitagen and eat biscuits. After all is done and getting ready to go to the car, this little girl start telling Daddy that she wanted to ' Pang Sai' first. End up everyday late to kindie. Her kindie started at 8.30 am and she reached there almost 9.15 am.

I really don't understand why Dearie Suki got such a patient to entertain his litte sweetheart. He even try to pamper her with 'Liu Lian' and telling her if she behave well he will buy her favourite 'Liu Lian'.

Yesterday when I picked both of them up from babysitter's house, I asked little girl ...

Mommy : Girl, how is school? Got cry or not?

Le-Ann : Mommy, cheh cheh no cry d. Daddy bring cheh cheh to school. Then Daddy go to work, cheh cheh go to school.

Mommy : Teacher teach you wat?

Le-Ann : Emmm, draw.... singing.... go playground lor.

Mommy : Wat you eat today?

Le-Ann : Emmm, I eat 'mien pau' and drink soup.

Mommy : You got friends or not?

Le- Ann : Got. I got 5 friends. No,no, no, no ... I got 10 friends.

Mommy : Huh, yes ah you got so many friends ah.

Le- Ann : Mommy, Daddy say cheh cheh no cry and Daddy buy 'Liu Lian' for cheh cheh.

This small girl, that night keep telling Daddy to buy 'Liu Lian' for her and Daddy got no choice but to keep his promise to his little sweetheart. I think she is overly pampered by Dearie Suki.

This durian bought from the Pak Cik's stall outside our house. Wah, the best durian - bitter, creamy and sweet. But not cheap leh.

This small girl, crazy over durian. She loves it so, so, so much.

Ee-Thern starting to learn how to appreciate 'Liulian'. I think he loves it too.

When I Am Old, Who Will Take Care Of Us?

Have you ever think about when you are old, who will take care of you? Seriously I did think of this even though I have 2 lovely kids at home but I never though of them taking care of us when we are old. The world has changed and I see many youngster now a days send their parents to the nursing home.

Last week when I was at Aunty AC house, she starts telling me about her mother in law. Her mom in law fall down and hurt her back. She was hospitalized for about a week and when she discharged, none of her children wanted to take care of her. Aunty AC being a widow and she is now taking care of her grandchildren, could not take care of her. If not she will be willing to look after her at home. Hence, they got no choice but to send her to the nursing home and let the care taker take care of her. Her mother in law go there with a heavy heart because she doesn't want to be there. I felt so sad for the old lady.

I was telling Dearie Suki, both of us better be prepared for old age. When the kids grow up and have their own family and career they will have no time for us. For me I wouldn't want to blame them if they really wanted to send us there. Looking at a more positive side, maybe both of us could mix with more friends at the nursing home, who knows right!

Start To Drools Over It

I haven't been cooking lately and Dearie Suki started to get bored with the food we take away from the restaurant and my cooking become more simpler and simpler at home. I just hate the washing after cooking and I told Dearie Suki if he wanted me to cook then make sure he come back earlier and look after the kids. In that case, I will have more time for cooking and I did miss my cooking. He was telling me he don't mind to have simple dishes at home as long as all of us eat at home. Think about it true also, it is more healthier to eat at home even a simple one. Nothing better than a home cooked meals.

Looks like I am going to find more time to start back my cooking, if not I think I will forget how to cook. LOL..... Here are some of my simple dishes for my Dearie Suki to drools over it if he read my blog. Hahahahaha.....

Easy peasy one.... steamed minced pork with salted fish and ginger. Dearie Suki can eat 2 plates of rice.

Steamed fish with Kikkoman soya sauce. Not for the kids, too much bones.

Bored of steaming silken tofu with fried shallots? Try this. Add some prawns and oyster sauce over it.

Deep fried calamari. My favourite but when frying it must wear a protector over my body leh. Oil splashing all over the kitchen. Give me more job to clean up the kitchen.

Green, green, green. I don't mind to have this whole plate of kai lan for dinner.

Months back, I went to Kuantan and bought back one whole Mui Heong Salted Fish. You know, this plate of Mui Heong Salted Fish I fried with some ginger, a whole plate of it is much more expensive than I go out and eat a bowl of noodles.

I Want To Learn Sewing

My mom is a tailor and she has been sewing clothes for her regular customers for more than 40 years. Surprisingly, she never pass down her experience and teach me and sis how to sew. Although I have no interest in sewing since young but as I grow older, this interest seems to develop in me. And the next thing is I wanted so much to learn sewing from her. I loves to buy dresses for my little girl and she just loves wearing pretty and sweet dresses whenever we bring her out. I was wondering why not I sew all her dresses on my own and make to her size.

I have been planning to get a sewing machine because I don't have one and I have been browsing through which brand to get. After doing some comparison finally I decided to get the Janome sewing machine. Today was Le-Ann first day at the kindie. Dearie Suki enrolled her into the Q-Dees kindie near our house last Friday. Because of me too busy the last whole week, ended up Dearie Suki bring her to the kindie. Apparantly according to him, she quite like the kindie and little girl told Daddy that she wanted to go to school. So he enrolled her in and going to start her first day at school today.

Yesterday night, I was busy packing her stuffs and took out the new 'Reebok' shoes I bought for her during the RSH warehouse sale. 50% off and I bought 2 pairs, one for Le-Ann and one for Ee-Thern. Dearie Suki nagged me and said the kids shoes even much more expensive than his shoes. What to do, also bought already, can return back ah?

This is what you called 'Super Kiasumom'. Bought one size bigger, end up she got to wear Ee-Thern's shoe.

She is so happy with her new shoe.

This morning she woke up, very happy and as usual she said she wanted to go to school. Changed her into the uniform, get her school bag and happily singing in the car when both me and Dearie Suki send her to the kindie.

Then my poor Ee-Thern boy, cried and refused to get down at the babysitter house and kept asking for 'Cheh Cheh'. In the car I was telling Dearie Suki, looking at her pattern, I think she should be OK and won't cry. Reach the kindie, send her down, bring her to her class and I quietly sneak out from the room.

Wah seh, once she didn't see me, she cried like hell and I even can hear her voice from the ground floor. Really heart breaking to hear her crying and as though someone has torture her. I went up again and she stopped crying and once I leave the room she started again. Dearie Suki started to nagged me and asked me don't bother her so much. Just close one eye and go.

Stayed with her for an hour and I received a phone call from my 'STP'. This one I really 'beh tahan'. I tell myself not to blog about it, but I must blog it. I was actually on EL today cos I scared my Dearie Suki cannot managed alone. She called and questioned me, why I am on EL as I have to amend the price list to give it to my sales reps today. I answered her that my girl refused to go to school and I need to be here with her. And I told her I will amend the price list and emailed to the office later in the afternoon. At that time, my Le-Ann, kept crying and it is quite annoying when someone called up to make a fuss on some small matter. My fire really burning and I told her off, can't I do it later and what is the problem now! Supposed to take 1/2 day EL and ended up take 1 day EL cos I really pissed off.

Ended up, I myself also cried along with my Le-Ann. Alamak... so malu. Maybe I should learn to let go and let her be independent. Tomorrow, I will be back to work, and she will alone in kindie. In the afternoon, I have arranged her a transport to send her back to the babysitter's house. My biggest worry now, whether will she go up the car or not.

Poor little girl, cry till vomit in the class and even when reached babysitter's house also still crying and her mommy, me... still crying at home thinking of what her 'SOT' said to her.

Spare The Rod Tag

Trinity would like me to share my parenting experience whether do I spare the rod. At times yes, I do spank my kids especially the younger one which is my son, Ee-Thern but not my girl cos I think my little girl obey and she listen to everything I tell her. Spanking my small boy is another word just to scare him off cos he is too naughty.

But after that, I realised this is not the right way cos they are too young to understand. Now I have taken the soft way to talk to them nicely what is correct and what is wrong. Explain to them and be patient with them. I believe we as parents must be patient with our kids. With the correct guidance from us I bet they will understand.
